Farace and LOT49 Goodness

My man Paul Farace of Kick It Recordings dropped a new summer breaks mix today and now it's off to you!   At a runtime of about 40 minutes, it's enough to satisfy even the most hungry of breakbeat fiends.  Get the download while it's still available and get hip to Farace if you're not already.  With steady releases on his label, shows on NSB radio, and upcoming WMC gigs, he's definitely not to be missed.  Check out Farace and the rest of the Kick It crew alongside Ed Solo, Baby Anne, and more at the Truskool Breaks WMC event Wed. March 24th!

Up next we're keeping up with the Tech Funk flavor from yesterday on LOT49.  This time Boonos brings it to us with a driving bassline and string stabs to keep you goin' through the night.  Check the track and give him some feedback and make sure to peep the upcoming mix from Meat Katie.

Tech Funk and Electro Breaks you say?

So today I found a bit of a different vibe in the in the air of the breaks world.  It's all about droning synths, whitenoise, and driving basslines.  Here's a definite winner in the field of Tech Funk from Hedflux being released on the LOT49 "7 Year Itch" compilation March 21st.  With a splash surrounded by reverb and whitenoise the track begins at the first drop with a grinding distorted synth and builds from there to a pleasantly full sounding package filled with new elements from far and wide.  Meets all my requirements for Tech Funk goodness, how about yours?

Another hot remix from Deenk of Amatol - Cherry Lips.  Deenk is a relatively new breakbeat producer from Spain, but he is hitting the scene with top notch original productions and remixes on various labels including his own Hard & Hits.  His latest remix is scheduled for release on Raveart Recordings and is definitely not one to be missed.  The track has a steady driving feel to it as would be expected from electro breaks, but retains a very techy element as well as great breakdowns and builds.  Enough descriptions though, check it for yourself.

All around breakbeat dominator -- Elite Force

A seasoned veteran DJ and producer, Elite Force (Simon Shackleton) has been churning out tunes for the last 14 years and playing shows across the globe.  A true heavyweight of remixes and originals Simon is a sure shot as can be seen in the burning man vid from the Opulent Temple stage.  I mean really, there's a button for the DJ to shoot fire at will from the top of a giant obelisk...pretty much incredible.  That being said his releases have a sound to match, being featured on LOT49 and U&A Recordings and new free remixes on his website on the regular.  His sound has developed over the years from Tech-Funk to Dubstep and in between, but there is a common theme: bass heavy EDM to keep the crowd wanting more.  His latest remix of MJ Cole and Nero is posted below for you to check out.  The overall sound combines piercing vocals as well as the grinding lead synths and sub-bass that is a staple in his tracks as of late.  Check his site for new tracks and promo materials as well.  I've found quite a few killer tracks that he's gracious enough to release to us at no charge.  Listen and enjoy!
